Overview

Senior Marketing and Proposal Specialist | Primary location: US-NJ-Pennington; also listed locations include US-NJ-Bloomfield and US-MA-Acton. Hybrid work schedule available at the discretion of the Company.

The position develops compliant, comprehensive, and compelling submittals (proposals and opportunity-specific statements of qualifications SOQs) on a regional or corporate level to win profitable work. Responsibilities include managing, scheduling, editing, and producing proposals, opportunity-related SOQs, project descriptions, resumes, and other marketing materials in accordance with Geosyntec s policies, government regulations, and copyright laws. The role requires initiative and independent judgment.

• Coordinate and lead all aspects of the competitive proposal preparation—from initial planning through delivery and post-award, including internal and client debriefs on wins or losses.
• Review and hone messages/win themes within written and visual information for client presentations; identify appropriate story-boarding of proposal/quals layout.
• Draft content such as introduction, win themes, proof statements, relevant experience, project teams/organizational charts.
• Overall responsibility for proposal/SOQ criteria and compliance, oversee production, and arrange for on-time deliveries.
• Develop scheduling and tracking systems for individual pursuit and proposal elements; be responsible for distribution and input from key technical leads and decision makers.
• Develop systems to extract, categorize, and retrieve information related to markets, clients, consultants, personnel, projects, prior proposals, boilerplate, visuals, and mailing lists.
• Identify BD leaders and help connect seller-doers across disciplines, branches, and/or business development initiatives.
• Track business development opportunities via Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.
• Assist technical and marketing leads with research related to prior pursuit RFP/evaluation panel questions-answers and gather information on potential client projects.
• Oversee staff in managing routine marketing collateral (e.g., keeping key task schedules on-track, resumes and project descriptions up to date).
• Develop branded presentations with targeted messaging.
• Create/approve news announcements for internal and external postings.
• Work closely with Branch technical and marketing teams to develop plans aligned with the company s Strategic Plan.
• Under guidance from Branch technical and marketing teams, conduct targeted market research to understand target audiences, drivers, competitors, and opportunities.
• Identify marketing candidates for both office and local-regional needs.
• Manage awards competition entries and ensure compliance with award requirements.
• Analyze research data related to clients, competitors, markets; present findings to leadership.

• A bachelor s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or public relations with six (6) years of progressive professional experience in engineering, architecture, or commercial construction is required, or ten (10) years of directly related experience, or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Demonstrated writing skills, including the ability to think critically and analytically about the purpose of the document and how the content might be improved.
• Formatting, writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
• Windows proficiency including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat; typing ability.
• Familiarity with Illustrator and some graphic design experience (preferred).
• Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workflow.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently to perform effectively under tight deadlines.
• Valid U.S. driver s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.

This opportunity will be posted for at least five days. Compensation ranges are provided in good faith for roles in the specified locations. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set, and location.

• Minimum Salary: $99,070/year / Maximum Salary: $116,550/year (Acton, MA, Bloomfield, NJ)
• Minimum Salary: $94,760/year / Maximum Salary: $111,485/year (Pennington, NJ)
