About the Role

As a Vehicle Technician in one of our workshops, you'll mostly be repairing and maintaining our fleet of delivery vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy to both VOSA and Partnership standards. You’ll be working with many experienced technicians, who will provide the tools you need to succeed and excel in your role, giving you the opportunity to develop your knowledge and progress your career.

Salary
: up to £44,200 plus overtime and an Evening Premium of £3 per hour for 18:00‑22:00 (for those enrolled in the Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements) starting 5 Oct 2025.

Working Hours
:
Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week on a 2‑week rota, with the expectation of working 1 in 2 Saturdays at premium overtime rates.

    Monday‑Friday – 06:00‑14:00
  • Week 2:
    Monday‑Friday – 13:30‑21:30

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Technician within the team, you’ll work on our large HGV lorries, ensuring all vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard to both VOSA and Partnership requirements. You will complete the relevant sections of all inspections, services and defect sheets in compliance with our ‘O’ Licence obligations, and daily complete spares requests and time books. You must be aware of best practice and current commercial vehicle repair techniques to conduct high‑quality repairs cost‑effectively, ensuring appropriate use of spare parts and consumables.

Essential Experience / Qualifications
  • City and Guilds Level 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent qualification
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence
  • Proven background in commercial vehicle repairs
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness
Desirable Skills
  • IRTEC certification
  • LGV C+E Driving Licence
