The company is a well-established precision engineering manufacturer, producing high-precision CNC milled and turned components from a wide range of metals and plastics. It supplies a variety of industry sectors including Motorsport, Automotive, and Industrial, with a reputation for low-volume, short lead-time production. The company also has a long-standing customer base within specialist automotive and Formula 1 industries.

Role Overview:
The company is seeking an experienced CNC Miller Programmer Setter Operator to join its late-shift team. The successful candidate will have a key role in the daily operations of the manufacturing facility, setting up and operating CNC machine centres to produce precision components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate Mazak and Doosan CNC turning and milling machines.
  • Program and adjust machines to meet production requirements.
  • Carry out in-process dimensional and visual checks using appropriate measurement equipment.
  • Ensure components conform to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Work efficiently to meet production deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate clearly with operators and engineers.
  • Operate multiple machines when required.
  • Work independently with the confidence to solve problems on the shop floor.

Experience and Competencies:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer, Setter, and Operator within precision engineering or prototype manufacturing.
  • Skilled in Mazak or Doosan machine centres.
  • Competent in Fanuc or Mazatrol controls.
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings and measurement techniques.
  • Experienced in machining a range of metals and plastics.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear feedback.
  • Able to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Confident, autonomous, and able to problem-solve effectively.
