Overview
We are seeking a patient and motivated Autism Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting supporting pupils aged 5 to 16
. This is a full-time role with an immediate start
, ideal for someone passionate about helping children and young people with autism to thrive both academically and socially.

You will be supporting pupils with autism spectrum conditions
, often alongside:
Communication and interaction difficulties
Sensory processing needs
Social and emotional regulation challenges
Support is personalised, consistent and centred around building confidence, independence and engagement.
Provide one-to-one and small group support
Assist with structured learning and daily routines
Support communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
Work closely with teachers and support staff
Minimum of 6 months childcare experience
, particularly supporting children with SEN or autismExperience with in a primary or secondary setting is desirable
A full UK driving licence is essential due to the school s location
Calm, empathetic and proactive approach
Right to work in the UK
Competitive pay of £13.75 per hour
, paid weekly via PAYEDedicated consultant with SEN and autism expertise

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
