Material Handler

Overview

Talascend is currently seeking a Material Handler for a contract opportunity with our client in Blair, Nebraska
.

The Material Handler position involves various tasks related to inventory management, order picking, and shipping within a warehouse environment.

• Unload deliveries, verify quantities and conditions against purchase orders, and report discrepancies.
• Store parts accurately, maintain inventory levels, and perform cycle counts.
• Pick and pack parts according to pick tickets, ensuring accuracy.
• Prepare orders for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and loading.
• Safely operate forklifts to move pallets within the warehouse.
• Record inventory movements and update systems like Excel and SAP.
• Inspect parts for damage or defects and report issues.
• Keep the workspace clean and organized, and complete sanitation logs.
• Attend meetings and training, report necessary details, and comply with ESH, Quality, and operational policies.

• Forklift Certification:
  Required for operating forklifts safely

• Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
• Attention to Detail:
  Essential for accurate inventory management.
• Basic Computer
  
  Skills:
  
  Necessary for data entry and using inventory systems.
• Document Interpretation:
  Ability to read and interpret shipping documents.
• Communication

  Effective interaction with warehouse staff and various end users.

Monday - Friday 7:30-4:30
