Memorial Community Hospital & Health System (MCH) in Blair, NE, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. As an Emergency Department RN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care, working closely with a dedicated team of providers and healthcare professionals at our Critical Access Hospital. You’ll be at the forefront of critical care, ensuring patients receive timely, expert treatment.

• Shift Details:
  Three 12-hour shifts 6:00a-6:30p, 36 hours per week.
• Evaluate patients at triage and assess actual or potential health issues.
• Administer medications, treatments, and prescribed regimens via various routes (e.g., IV, IM, oral).
• Provide age‑appropriate care for patients ranging from neonates to the elderly.
• Communicate effectively with providers and interdisciplinary teams regarding patient needs.
• Educate patients and their families about care plans and health management.
• Participate in problem‑solving, performance improvement initiatives, and patient satisfaction projects.
• Ensure compliance with EMTALA requirements and hospital safety standards.

• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
• Licensure/
  
  Certifications:
  • Active RN license in Nebraska or Iowa.
  • Current BLS & ACLS (Required).
  • PALS (Within 60 days of hire).
  • TNCC or ATCN (Within one year of hire).
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of one year in acute care; emergency room experience highly preferred.
• Skills:
  
  Critical thinking, rapid decision‑making, cardiac monitoring, IV/central line management, and life‑sustaining interventions.
