Overview
Do you enjoy being outdoors and keeping active? Do you want to make a difference in a young child's life? The Blaine Parks and Recreation Department is seeking dynamic and energetic individuals to lead summer recreation programs for youth. Hours and pay vary according to experience and assigned duties. Youth Coaches will be assigned to one team in each age bracket.

ResponsibilitiesDuties include but are not limited to:
- implementing the summer recreational youth softball programs
- implementing the summer recreational youth t-ball programs
- implementing the summer recreational youth soccer programs
The optimal applicant will demonstrate:
- Knowledge of youth sports
- Strong leadership skills
- Understand the developmental stages of youth
- Have the ability to motivate and manage youth
- Shows good judgment
- Shows enthusiasm
Youth Coach Recreation Leaders will be trained in First Aid. (This is not a certification)
Minimum Requirements- Must be 16 years of age by June 1, 2026
- Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m.
- 3:00 p.m. & 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
- Mid June - Mid August
- Training will take place Early June
- approximately 20 - 30 hours per week
