The Blaine Parks and Recreation Department is seeking dynamic and energetic individuals to lead summer recreation programs for youth at various Blaine Parks
. Hours and pay vary according to experience and assigned duties. Play Net Recreation Leaders will be assigned to the Play Net Blaine Summer Playground Program. Age groups range from juniors (3 1/2 to 4 years old) and school age (5 to 11 years old). If you are a strong leader and like to work with youth, this is the perfect summer job for you!

- leading Play Net participants in games
- leading Play Net participants in arts & crafts
- leading Play Net participants in sports
- leading Play Net participants in other planned activities at a specific site or sites.
- Strong leadership skills
- Understand the developmental stages of youth
- have the ability to motivate and manage youth
- Shows good judgment
- Shows enthusiasm.
Play Net Recreation Leaders will be trained in First Aid.
Minimum Requirements- Must be 16 years of age by June 1, 2026
- Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m.
- 4:00 p.m.
- Mid June - Mid August
- Training will take place Early June
- approximately 25 - 30 hours per week
