A great opportunity for a skilled Vehicle Technician / Mechanical Fitter to join a busy workshop environment, carrying out diagnostics, servicing and mechanical repairs on commercial vehicles. This role suits someone confident working independently while contributing to a small, friendly team.

SALARY: £32,800 per annum + Benefits (includes Pension, Workwear, and Free on-site Parking)
LOCATION:
Pengam, Caerphilly, South Wales
JOB TYPE:
Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS:
8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime on some Saturdays
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established organisation supporting commercial vehicle operations. This role offers stable employment, consistent hours, and the chance to work on a varied fleet of vans.
As a Vehicle Technician / Mechanical Fitter you will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out servicing, and completing general mechanical repairs across multiple makes and models. The role requires a proactive approach and the ability to manage tasks independently.
DUTIES- Vehicle Diagnostics:
Identifying and diagnosing mechanical faults on commercial vehicles - Mechanical Repairs:
Completing service, repair and maintenance work to a high standard - Vehicle Servicing:
Carrying out routine servicing on a range of makes and models - Tyre Fitting:
Undertaking tyre fitting as part of general vehicle maintenance - Independent Working:
Managing workload effectively and working on own initiative - Team
Collaboration:
Supporting colleagues within a small and friendly workshop team - Health and Safety Compliance:
Following safe working practices at all times
- Previous experience in mechanical servicing, repair and diagnostics
- Experience working with commercial vehicles or vans
- A full UK driving licence
- The ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A positive and team-focused approach to work
