Registered Veterinary Nurse; Maternity Cover

Overview

Registered Veterinary Nurse (Maternity Cover). This role is a part-time fixed-term position to cover maternity leave for 12 months. It is a 24-hour-per-week role across 3 shifts, with working days Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Shifts vary: 8:30am-5:00pm, 9:00am-5:30pm, 9:30am-6:00pm, or 10:00am-6:30pm.

Summerwood is a busy, small animal practice located in Blackwood, South Wales valley, offering easy access to Newport, Cardiff and the countryside. The practice features 4 consult rooms (one brand new), a brand new cattery, separate cat and dog kennels, waiting areas, theatre and prep room, and well-equipped facilities including x-ray, dental x-ray, dental machine, ultrasound and idexx lab equipment.

You must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a proactive, can-do attitude. Previous hospital experience is ideal but not essential; we welcome applications from those eager to develop their skills. Full training will be provided across all areas.

The role involves nursing duties as a Registered Veterinary Nurse and providing support to the team during maternity cover. The position is aimed at utilising nursing skills to their fullest within the practice.
