Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Full-Time, Long-Term

Teacher Active is delighted to partner with a well-regarded mainstream primary school in Blackwood, renowned for its strong commitment to supporting children with additional learning needs (ALN).

We are seeking an enthusiastic and patient Learning Support Assistant with a compassionate and nurturing approach. The successful candidate will work within the Learning Resource Centre, supporting pupils across both the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2.

This role offers the opportunity to provide tailored support to children with ALN across a variety of learning areas.

This is a full-time, long-term position, with regular school hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting children with additional learning needs (ALN) in both group and one-to-one settings
Assisting with classroom management to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Contributing to the development and implementation of individual learning plans
Providing patient, empathetic support to foster pupils’ learning and well-being

Essential

Skills and Experience:

Experience supporting children with additional learning needs (ALN)
Proven ability to work effectively with children both individually and in groups
Strong classroom management skills
A caring, patient, and nurturing personality
