Manufacturing Engineering I – Manufacturing Engineer

Moog Inc. is a performance culture that empowers people to achieve great things. This onsite role in Blacksburg, VA reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and involves the manufacturing process development for the Slip Ring production line.

• Work and maintain confidential information.
• Support the Slip Ring production line and outsource vendors.
• Oversee the manufacturing process development with a domestic and international team.
• Create engineering and tool drawings, order and support manufacturing tooling, work instructions, labor standards, facility layout, quotes and continuous improvement.
• Review and respond to requests for quotes on new orders.
• Conduct mechanical and electrical manufacturing design reviews and offer improvement suggestions for manufacturability.
• Travel off‑site domestically and internationally.
• Enforce and follow policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements as they apply, such as ITAR.
• Provide reports to management on daily, weekly, and monthly performance schedules and expenditures.
• Support technical exchange discussions with suppliers and Moog.
• Cross‑train to help in other areas.
• Complete any other tasks as assigned by direct supervisor or operations manager.

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field or related manufacturing experience, or an associate degree with 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing role.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Experience communicating with internal and external customers, coworkers, and other disciplines across the business.

Blacksburg, VA $60,000.00–$8,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region‑specific benefits.
