The Pet Care business unit of Spectrum Brands is based in St. Louis, Missouri with distribution, manufacturing and sales offices throughout the US and globe. Owners of dogs, cats, birds, small animals, fish and reptiles rely on our brands for exceptional value and trusted results. The Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization throughout the facility in alignment with plant standards and 5S principles. This role supports a clean and safe work environment for all employees by performing daily cleaning and sanitation tasks across production, warehouse, and office areas.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, breakrooms, locker rooms, offices, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and maintain floors in production and warehouse areas
• Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility
• Restock restroom and breakroom supplies
• Assist with snow removal and exterior cleaning as needed

• Maintain assigned areas in alignment with 5S standards
• Organize and properly store cleaning tools and supplies
• Remove unnecessary items from work areas (Sort)
• Support visual management and workplace organization standards
• Participate in 5S audits and continuous improvement efforts
• Report cleanliness or safety concerns

• Follow all plant safety and environmental procedures
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Wear required PPE at all times
• Report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior custodial experience in a commercial or industrial environment preferred
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail

• Work conditions typical for a manufacturing environment
