Note:
Eligibility for benefits may vary by location.
Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.
Performs all CT procedures; able to learn and/or perform MRI exams.
Observant of patients’ conditions.
Practices and enforces radiation safety as described in federal standards, utilizing ALARA policy.
Adheres to all appropriate hospital and regulatory policies and assists in maintaining accreditation.
Understands and operates electronic information systems.
Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.
Administers contrast media as required.
Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of CT and to meet the continuing education requirements of the ARRT.
Takes call after regular hours as assigned.
Maintains appropriate supplies.
Assures primary area is clean and organized. Assists in other areas of the department when not needed in primary area. Performs clerical and transport duties as needed.
Qualifications ExperienceRequired:
Experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Preferred:
One year dedicated CT experience.
Required:
Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Required:
ARRT registered.
Required:
CT Registry within 12 months of employment and BLS within 90 days of employment.
Hours:
Full time, night shift weekends only.
