Locum Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant ER

Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Locum Western Virginia / Emergency Medicine NP or PA – Appalachian Region

High-acuity Emergency Department in both hospital-based and free-standing ED settings. This locum assignment offers clinical variety, strong team support, and the chance to practice at the top of your license in scenic western Virginia.

• Assignment Dates: March 1, 2026 – August 1, 2026
• Schedule:
  7a–7p, 2p–10p, or 7p–7a (7 shifts/week)
• No call requirement
• Level III Trauma Center
• Practice in both hospital and free-standing emergency departments
• Approx. 40,000 annual patient visits across sites
• Collaborative emergency medicine team environment
• EMR:
  Meditech
• Travel: Paid travel and expenses
• Enjoy time off hiking Appalachian foothill trails, exploring farm markets, and sampling local comfort cuisine

• Be able to do the job as described.
• FNP, ENP or PA-C with active Virginia license
• 1+ years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Emergency Medicine clinical experience required (no new grads)
• Comfortable working variable shifts in a fast-paced ED
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
