We’re currently searching for an Associate Director for Services for Students with Disabilities to join our Services for Students with Disabilities team in Blacksburg, VA to help us in our mission.

Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) strives to create an accessible and inclusive campus community. We collaborate with campus partners to remove barriers and meet the individualized access needs of disabled students. SSD supports success through the promotion of student learning and the development of advocacy skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience with supervising full‑time professionals.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state laws governing disability rights and accommodations (ADA, Section 504, etc.).
- Working knowledge of AHEAD standards and best practices for student disability services.
- Proficient in effectively communicating with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and community partners.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional experience working with students with disabilities in a higher education setting.
- Master’s degree and/or equivalent amount of experience working in disability services in higher education.
- Experience with universal design for learning (UDL) principles.

Salary Information$75,000 - $85,000
Work ScheduleMonday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; some nights and weekends
