The Assistant Director for Ticket Operations plays a key role in the Ticket Operations unit, helping deliver a seamless sales and gameday experience, superior customer support, and strong financial integrity. This position is responsible for daily ticket office functions, supervising part-time staff, managing events, and providing exceptional service to fans and stakeholders while ensuring compliance with university, NCAA, and conference policies.
This position reports to the Assistant AD / Ticket Operations.
- Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience in a related field, or a master's degree.
- Experience working in ticket operations or similar fast-paced customer service environment.
- Functional knowledge of Paciolan ticketing software or similar platform.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access).
- Demonstrated customer service management experience.
- Relevant supervisory experience in a customer service setting.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- Working knowledge of NCAA rules regarding complimentary ticketing.
- Familiarity with Virginia Tech Athletics facilities.
