Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paediatric Staff Nurse to work as part of our team at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals.

We require an enthusiastic Registered Children’s Nurse to work within our dedicated, well-established teams. The successful applicant will work as part of the Paediatric Unit Team within the Children’s Assessment unit, Children’s Ward, Adolescent ward, High Dependency Unit and Paediatric day surgery.

This role will provide experience caring for children with a wide range of conditions including oncology patients through Level 1 POSCU, high dependency care in the HDU bay, and adolescent units.

We have a dedicated support network of Practice Development Sisters providing clinical support and training opportunities.

• Deliver quality care to a wide range of children with various health and social concerns
• Work within policies and procedures to provide evidence-based care
• Teamwork with the multidisciplinary team
• Prioritise clinical care
• Work collaboratively with the team leader
• Administer medications
• Refer patients to other relevant agencies
• Attend meetings as required
