Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
We're partnering with a well-established and supportive secondary school in Blackpool that is dedicated to maintaining high standards, strong behaviour systems, and a culture of respect. The school prides itself on providing a structured and inclusive environment where students feel safe, motivated and ready to learn.
Staff are supported by a collaborative leadership team and clear policies that enable consistency across classrooms. With a strong focus on both academic progress and personal development, the school creates a setting where both pupils and staff can thrive.
As a Cover Supervisor you will:- Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the classroom teacher
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans and ensure students remain on task
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies
- Provide a calm, focused and respectful learning environment
- Support students with their learning and respond to general queries
- Report back to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour
- Previous experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
- Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- A proactive, reliable and professional attitude
- A genuine passion for supporting students' development and progress
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the update service OR be willing to apply for a new one
- Provide two professional child-related references
