The Role:Elevating Literacy & Learning
We are looking for a resilient and talented QTS English Teacher for a variety of temporary assignments in Blackpool
, ranging from short-term cover to long-term placements. You will step into a department that is committed to raising aspirations and ensuring every student, regardless of their starting point, achieves their full potential in English Language and Literature.
Ignite Curiosity: Design and deliver innovative lessons for KS3 and KS4 that make complex texts accessible and exciting.
Drive Results: Use your expertise in the GCSE curriculum to prepare students for success in their exams.
Foster Growth: Provide a safe and inclusive classroom where students feel confident to express their ideas and improve their writing.
Seamless Integration: Quickly adapt to the school's unique ethos and work alongside a collaborative team of educators.
Professional Standard: Maintain high expectations for student behavior, attendance, and academic effort.
QTS Status: You must hold Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant English-based degree.
Curriculum Knowledge: Strong familiarity with the current UK National Curriculum and GCSE specifications.
Classroom Presence: The ability to engage students in a seaside town environment with diverse learning needs.
Flexibility: A "can-do" attitude and the ability to hit the ground running.
Safeguarding: An Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or a commitment to obtaining one immediately).
Competitive Pay: Earn between £150 - £220 per day
