The Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician assists in the electrical construction of shop‑fabricated equipment as well as field installation of electrical systems. Works with and maintains 480
VAC, 120
VAC, and LVLE electrical systems. Plans layout, installs, and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment.
Travel throughout the United States is required, approximately 60% to 70% of the time. Travel expenses are paid by the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Plan and complete new installations or modify existing infrastructure while minimizing waste and maintaining NEC code, customer requirements and Premier Technology standards.
- Read blueprints, prepare sketches, and maintain documentation of the work process and completed projects.
- Troubleshoot circuitry in new and existing systems, repair or recommend corrective action.
- Plan and install conduit run, pull, and terminate wiring; wire motors, controls, lighting, switches, relays, panels, instrumentation and other industrial complex needs.

- Travel is a high requirement of this job.
- Fifth‑year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Licensed electrician in the State of Idaho and capable of obtaining licenses in other states.
- Ability to teach and mentor apprentice electricians.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a very dynamic environment with flexibility and focus.
Premier Technology is a federal contractor; this position requires that you are a U.S. citizen (not just authorized to work in the U.S.).
Physical Demands- Requires talking, hearing, walking, using hands for fingers, handling, feeling, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing.
- Frequently involves lifting and/or moving weights up to 25 pounds, regularly up to 50 pounds, and occasionally above 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required: strong visual acuity with or without correction, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Long hours (10+ per day) are common, with possible overtime and travel.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, loud noises, tripping hazards, sparks, welding arc, and open flame.
- Exposure to high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, mild industrial chemicals, inclement weather, risk of electrical shock and vibration.
- Essential for employees to maintain awareness of surroundings and wear necessary PPE when required.
