We are seeking to grow our Welding Services team with an experienced Quality Inspector for an EPC project in the nuclear power plant environment in Blackfoot, Idaho.
PositionQuality Inspector (QCI) for the Welding Services team supporting an EPC project in a nuclear power plant environment in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Responsibilities- In-process and final inspection of Code related activities, including welder qualification, receipt inspection of materials/equipment, welding material control, visual welding inspection, mechanical connections, nondestructive surface examinations, witnessing final testing, and assisting in the compilation of final quality control records.
- Perform inspections and verifications as defined in the DZMC Quality Program or client requirements as specified in the contract.
- Conduct inspections of code related activities, welder qualifications, receipt inspection of materials and equipment, and welding material controls.
- Conduct visual welding inspections and nondestructive surface examinations; witness final testing and assist in compiling final quality control records.
- Provide recommended resolution of identified quality issues per the DZMC Quality Program.
- Analytical ability to grasp key factors from detailed specifications.
- Effective verbal communication and report writing skills.
- Working knowledge of construction industry Codes and Standards related to welding processes.
- Strong leadership capabilities to drive quality initiatives to successful completion.
- Basic knowledge of software to compile quality process data; familiarity with quality management tools and methodologies.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years of quality-related experience.
- AWS CWI and/or ASNT NDE Level II, minimum.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.
- Successful completion of background screening.
- Experience working under an ASME NQA-1 Quality Assurance Program (preferred).
In compliance with applicable pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $87,000 – $144,000. Final offer amount may vary based on experience, geographic location, and other factors. The specific programs and options available may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and union fringes.
