Position: Quality Auditor 2pm-10pm

BBF Limited – Blackburn, Lancashire – £13.90 per hour

Role Purpose

To act as a Quality Champion ensuring our finished products and raw materials fully meet the customers QAS expectation, supporting the Production team in raising the bar in our finished product quality.

Key Accountabilities
  • Adjust finished product QAS’s are being adhered to by production to deliver consistent quality product.
  • Lead and conduct Go Canvas panels of every finished product made at each factory, panels cross‑functional and led by the Quality QA.
  • Advise the site teams on company standards relating to GMP, food safety, quality and hygiene.
  • Develop initiatives which enhance the manufacturing operation through reduced costs and improved quality, particularly in process monitoring & control.
  • Complete the Hold process when a non‑conformance has been identified, raised during finished product reviews.
  • Ensure that production samples are collected as per schedule including customer code approval samples of Seasonal lines.
  • Test and sample filings to ensure they meet the specification and can be processed in the factory.
Additional Accountabilities
  • Maintain current knowledge of professional technical standards and changes in customer codes of practice.
  • Work alongside operational colleagues to ensure effective training of staff in matters of food safety, legality and quality.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures at all times.
  • Live the BBF Values.
  • Conduct additional tasks as required by the Technical team.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
  • At least 1 year technical/hygiene experience with a clear track record of achievement, preferably with food manufacturing experience.
  • A highly motivated, determined and enthusiastic individual.
  • PC literate.
