About the job Industrial Deafness Solicitor (KL)
We are looking for an knowledgeable and compassionate Industrial Deafness Solicitor to join our legal team. The successful candidate will specialise in claims related to hearing loss, tinnitus, and other auditory conditions caused by exposure to industrial noise. This role involves managing a caseload from initial client consultation through to resolution, ensuring clients receive expert guidance and representation. Candidates should have experience in personal injury or industrial disease law and be committed to securing fair compensation for those affected.
Key Responsibilities Case Management- Handle a caseload of industrial deafness claims, including assessment, strategy development, and preparation for court or settlement.
- Conduct thorough investigations into clients' work histories, noise exposure, and medical backgrounds to build robust cases.
- Review medical reports, workplace assessments, and client statements to substantiate claims.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, offering clear, empathetic, and professional guidance throughout the claims process.
- Provide regular updates to clients on case progress, explaining legal terms and procedures in an accessible manner.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies or defence solicitors, aiming to achieve favourable outcomes for clients.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards regarding workplace noise and industrial deafness claims.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents, such as claim forms, witness statements, and pleadings.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all case activities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
- Work closely with medical experts, audiologists, and other professionals to obtain evidence supporting claims.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the personal injury or industrial disease department to share knowledge and expertise.
- Qualified solicitor in [Jurisdiction, e.g., England and Wales] with a current practising certificate.
- Additional certifications or specialised training in personal injury or industrial disease law are preferred.
- Minimum of [X years] experience in personal injury or industrial disease law, with specific experience handling industrial deafness or similar claims preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully managing claims and achieving settlements for clients.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in case preparation and document review.
- Excellent negotiation skills with an ability to secure favourable outcomes for clients.
- Empathetic, client-focused approach and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload efficiently.
