Are you an organised HR professional who enjoys keeping processes running smoothly and supporting employees across the full HR lifecycle?
We’re recruiting for an HR Operations Assistant to join our client on a 6-month fixed-term contract during a particularly busy period. This role will suit someone who enjoys a highly operational HR environment, thrives on accuracy and organisation, and can confidently manage a high volume of administrative tasks.
You’ll join a supportive HR team and play a key role in delivering efficient HR operations. This is a transactional and administration-heavy role, with significant involvement in system updates, contract administration and data checks. If you enjoy structure, detail, and improving processes while working at pace, this could be a great opportunity.
What You’ll Be Doing- Managing a busy HR inbox and acting as the first point of contact for employee queries relating to holidays, pay, contracts, working hours and policies
- Preparing and issuing employee contracts, amendments and HR documentation
- Supporting the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding processes
- Processing high volumes of HR transactions within Workday and other systems
- Conducting data checks and audits, ensuring accuracy across HR records and payroll-related information
- Maintaining accurate employee data and ensuring data protection and information security best practices are followed
- Assisting the wider People team to ensure HR operations run efficiently and consistently
- Previous experience in an HR Administrator, HR Assistant or HR Operations role
- Strong HR operations knowledge, including employee lifecycle administration
- Comfortable working with multiple HR systems and managing high volumes of transactions
- Workday experience would be highly advantageous
- Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, and confidence working with data and numbers
- Good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR policies
- Excellent organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to pick up new processes and systems quickly
- Diligent when handling sensitive employee data and confidential information
- 37 hours per week (8:30–4:30 or 9:00–5:00)
- Hybrid working – minimum 3 days in the office, up to 2 days from home
- 28 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata for the contract)
