Lancashire County Council provides catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals per day. We are looking for committed individuals to join our team.

You will work as a casual member of kitchen staff, providing essential cover in Primary Schools Catering Departments within the Blackburn with Darwen Area, delivering high‑quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.

• Prepare the dining area for service, including moving and setting up furniture and putting away items.
• Assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages.
• Clean all equipment and catering areas.

• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
• Good customer care skills.
• Previous catering and food preparation experience is desirable.

Monday to Friday, Term time only. Casual hours per week are as and when needed, with variability depending on school meal uptake.
