Overview
The Management Accountant will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts and related financial reports, including profit and loss, balance sheets, cash flows, variance analysis, key performance indicators, and supporting commentaries in line with agreed SLAs and reporting deadlines. The role plays a key part in delivering accurate financial insights that drive informed business decisions.
Vacancy Type: Permanent/Full Time
Location: Blackburn – Hybrid
Responsibilities- Prepare monthly management accounts and related financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flows).
- Conduct variance analysis, develop KPIs, and prepare supporting commentaries.
- Ensure reporting aligns with SLAs and deadlines; deliver timely and accurate financial insights to inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with other teams to provide financial clarity and support for operational decisions.
- Full/Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) with demonstrable experience in finance or accounting, ideally in management accounting.
- Solid understanding of management accounts, balance sheets, and financial controls.
- Strong accounting and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience with accounting systems.
- Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on process improvement and efficiency; adaptable and collaborative.
