Overview
Science Teacher – Darwen
Humly is recruiting a Science Teacher to join a secondary school on a long-term basis. This is a full-time role starting in February and continuing until the end of the Summer term. This role would suit a confident and adaptable practitioner who can engage pupils across a range of abilities and deliver high-quality science teaching within a supportive department. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupil progress, and maintaining positive behaviour in the classroom.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing
- Plan and deliver engaging mixed science lessons across Key Stage 3
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
- Maintain positive behaviour and a safe learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and outcomes
- Support pupils’ individual learning needs through targeted interventions
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching mixed-ability secondary science
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of all pupils
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
- Enthusiasm for contributing to a supportive and collaborative department
Paid to scale from day one: £168.80 – £232.57 per day (M1 – M6)
