Humly is recruiting a Science Teacher to join a secondary school on a long-term basis.
This is a full-time role starting in February and continuing until the end of the Summer term. This role would suit a confident and adaptable practitioner who can engage pupils across a range of abilities and deliver high-quality science teaching within a supportive department. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupil progress, and maintaining positive behaviour in the classroom.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Plan and deliver engaging mixed science lessons across Key Stage 3
* Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
* Maintain positive behaviour and a safe learning environment
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and outcomes
* Support pupils’ individual learning needs through targeted interventions
What You’ll Bring
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching mixed-ability secondary science
* Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
* Ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of all pupils
* Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
* Enthusiasm for contributing to a supportive and collaborative department
Pay
Paid to scale from day one: £168.80 – £232.57 per day (M1 – M6)
