£28,273 to £42,655 pro‑rata, per annum. Contractual hours: 22.2.
The RoleAs a Lecturer in the English & Maths department, you will deliver English GCSE and Functional Skills to learners on study programmes. You will contribute to the department’s development and success, focusing on attendance, achievement and student success. You will also design and develop curriculum linked to vocational areas, ensuring a high standard of quality provision is offered.
ResponsibilitiesDeliver and assess English GCSE and Functional Skills lessons for 14‑19‑year‑old learners.
Develop and review curriculum in line with vocational requirements.
Monitor and support student attendance and achievement.
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards.
What we are looking forEnthusiastic and highly motivated individual with a Level 4 or above qualification in a relevant subject discipline and a recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching English to 14‑19‑year‑old learners and strong awareness of current developments within the discipline.
Proven organisational ability, teamwork, and willingness to work flexibly.
