Secondary Tutor (1:1)

Our Secondary Tutors play an important role in supporting students who need extra help in core subjects. We understand that every learner’s journey is unique, which is why we offer flexible hours to fit around your schedule and the opportunity to make a genuine, lasting impact.

• Deliver one‑to‑one or small group lessons in Maths and English, tailored to secondary‑level learning needs.
• Adapt lesson content and pace to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Help students develop subject knowledge, study skills, and confidence.
• Build a trusting and consistent rapport to create a safe, supportive learning environment.
• Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to parents/carers or professionals as required.

• Minimum of 1 year experience teaching or tutoring Maths or English at secondary level.
• Experience working with learners in a 1:1 or small group setting.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Must hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check.

• PGCE in Secondary Education and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience supporting students with additional learning needs.
