Vital Energi is a leading provider of renewable energy infrastructure and systems to the public and private sectors. We support hospitals, universities, new build developments, towns and cities, as well as industrial and commercial clients to decarbonise their buildings.

We are working on ground‑breaking projects across the UK supporting the UK’s Net Zero targets, such as the recently announced £1 billion low‑carbon infrastructure project for Westminster.

With plans to double our headcount in the coming years, supported by offices opening in new locations across the country and our strong investment pipeline, coupled with our expansion into new markets such as industrial power generation with our own Energy‑from‑Waste facility, there is no better time to join the family here at Vital Energi.

The Role

The ideal candidate will have experience with online compliance platforms like CHAS, Construction line, Achilles etc. One of the main tasks will be uploading and updating documents and liaising internally to ensure that the evidence we need to maintain these certifications is up to date.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain all external accreditations, certifications, memberships and compliance platforms across the organisation.
  • Act as the central point of coordination between departments; support audit preparation, evidence collection, renewal submissions and continuous improvement of accreditation‑related processes.
Accreditation & Certification Management
  • Oversee and coordinate all company accreditations, certifications and memberships including ISO Standards (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), Achilles UVDB B2 Verify, PAS 2030/38, Construction line, BESA, Safe Contractor, SMAS Worksafe, CQMS, CHAS, Builders Profile, Acclaim, RESET Compliance, CEA, ADE, UKDEA and others.
  • Manage renewal schedules, ensuring all certifications remain valid and compliant.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases of all certifications, evidence and submission deadlines.
  • Act as the main point of contact for certification bodies, scheme assessors and compliance platforms.
Pre‑Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) and Client Compliance
  • Complete and maintain PQQs for clients and frameworks, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Upload and update documentation on online compliance platforms such as Construction line, CHAS, Achilles and others.
  • Liaise with Work Winning, Customer Care and SHEQ teams to gather required information and evidence.
Documentation & Evidence Management
  • Ensure all documentation (policies, insurances, risk assessments, training records, etc.) is current and uploaded to relevant portals.
  • Maintain a structured digital library of accreditation evidence, ensuring version control and accessibility.
  • Support the Quality Manager with internal and external audits by preparing supporting evidence and compliance data.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to streamline certification processes and reduce duplication of effort across departments.
  • Support the development and implementation of process improvements in document control and compliance tracking.
  • Provide regular reporting to management on accreditation status, renewals and compliance performance.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience coordinating accreditations, certifications or compliance documentation, ideally in construction, engineering or facilities sectors.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines across different accreditation schemes.
  • Knowledge of ISO management systems (9001, 14001, 45001).
  • Experience with Achilles, Construction line, CHAS and other contractor accreditation systems.
