Overview
As the Executive Chef, you will be the culinary ambassador for the hotel's Warren Duck Club and Creekside Lounge, as well as our meeting and event space, creating exceptional dining experiences for every guest. You will lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring all menu items are prepared to the highest quality standards and that food is handled and stored in full compliance with established guidelines.
This role includes menu development, food purchasing, and maintaining approved food and labor cost controls. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed, is required.
- Lead and manage the kitchen team to deliver high-quality menu items.
- Ensure food handling and storage comply with established guidelines.
- Develop menus and recipes.
- Oversee food purchasing and maintain approved food and labor cost controls.
- Collaborate with events and venue teams to support dining experiences for guests.
- Must have the ability to communicate in English.
- Self-starting personality with an even disposition; professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Strong communication skills with guests; willingness to pitch in and be a team player.
- Ability to transport cases of received goods to workstations; move pots and pans from storage to the serving line.
- Ability to work with all products and ingredients involved; operate, clean, and maintain equipment required in job functions.
- Ability to plan and develop menus and recipes; apply basic supervisory skills to plan, organize, direct, coach, train, and discipline as necessary.
- Ability to ensure security of kitchen access, products, and hotel property.
- Ability to work under stress, meet time constraints, perform physical activity, and maintain continuous walking.
- Finger/hand dexterity to operate food machinery; ability to grasp, lift, and/or carry or move goods weighing up to 100 lbs on a continuous schedule.
