The Business Development Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing support to the Business Development department in analyzing and evaluating new projects such as expansions, acquisitions, divestitures, and other capital projects to grow the business. Position will travel up to 25% (or more) depending on project requirements.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesA bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, accounting, finance, economics, or related field or the equivalent in experience with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience within the pipeline or energy industry is required.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Ability to actively engage in safe behavior and understand and follow the principles and methods related to pipeline and workplace safety as established by the Company.
- Knowledge of emergency and safety procedures, policies, procedures, equipment operating parameters, and all applicable DOT, EPA, FERC, DHS, and OSHA requirements.
- Ability to utilize relevant hardware and software including Microsoft Office products.
- Strong analytical skills are required to evaluate business conditions, potential acquisition candidates, and technical pipeline strategies and tariffs and recommend changes in operations.
- Knowledge of financial and economic development models.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills are required to deal with internal departments and external customers and contractors to develop and evaluate projects.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to effectively work and cooperate with supervisors, co-workers, and vendors.
- Ability to follow corporate policies and the directions of supervisors.
- Ability to refrain from causing or contributing to the disruption of the workplace.
Bachelors of Marketing (preferred)
