Position: Field Service Technician (Bismarck, ND)

Bismarck, ND (Remote) with 50% travel requirement

Thermal Works LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Technician to join our team, working directly with the thermal works team as well as local contractors, focusing on Startup/Commissioning and Service for all thermal works equipment.

We are looking for someone who is a detail-oriented, goal-oriented individual with foundational knowledge in HVAC, good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a rapidly changing environment.

Thermal Works values efficiency and strives to maintain smooth operations. Our primary focus is on providing an integrated cooling system for data centers and commercial buildings that dramatically reduces energy demand, water consumption, and cost of cooling. It transforms the economics and eco‑metrics of commercial cooling with zero‑water solutions that outperform air‑ and water‑cooled systems in any climate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Preventative Maintenance and Service schedules.
  • Perform on‑site quality control for the installation of Thermal Works products.
  • Perform all preventative maintenance and service needs for clients.
  • Be available to take emergency issues when on call.
  • Monitor service software closely to ensure services are met on a timely schedule.
  • Collaborate with different departments within the company for product development and improvement.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repair of thermal works equipment.
  • 50% travel requirement within the United States.
Skills & Requirements
  • 608 EPA certification.
  • Experience in Mechanical Critical Infrastructure Service and Maintenance.
Specific Skills / Abilities
  • Baseline circuit analysis and troubleshooting of electrical components.
  • Knowledge of hydronic systems.
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot HVAC systems.
  • Understanding of refrigeration theory as well as hands‑on applied sciences.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on customer service.
  • Ability to read drawings at a basic level.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs continuously throughout the day.
