Field Service Technician – Level 1 at Sunbelt Rentals, Inc.

Sunbelt Rentals is the leading rental equipment provider, offering a fleet of industry‑leading tools and equipment. We are looking for a reliable, safety‑focused technician to support maintenance and repair work on customer sites across North America.

• Work on a variety of makes, models, and equipment in challenging remote locations.
• Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management.
• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and execute advanced repairs at the customer’s location in a safe, efficient manner to avoid downtime.
• Handle equipment types that may include aerial work platforms, general construction tools, large‑scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas related equipment.
• Use mechanic’s trade tools and tools of trade regularly.
• Apply knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Demonstrate flexibility with changing priorities in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment.

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 1–2 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty‑lines equipment (large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas equipment) strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; 21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations.
• Must be able to provide mechanic’s tools of trade.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs.

$20.96 – $28.82 per hour (starting rate may vary based on location, education, training, and experience).
