Guest Advocate (Cashier), General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, Style (T2194) s is an On-Demand Team Member role with a flexible schedule. Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $17.00 USD per hour.

ALL ABOUT ON DEMAND:
You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you can create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app.

When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. Active engagement by picking up and working shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours) is required. Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you must respond to our attempts to contact you to confirm interest in shifts  you do not respond, employment may be terminated.

If you do not work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be administratively terminated. Communication and availability to work when the business demands it are critical to success in this role. After an offer, you will attend Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule before using myTime to pick shifts.

ALL ABOUT SERVICE & ENGAGEMENT:
Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment, and store cleanliness. Knowledgeable about in-store and digital services that drive adoption and guest loyalty, and able to assist with checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up, and drive-up while maintaining high standards of service.

  • Communicating and interacting with guests to create an inclusive experience
  • Problem solving and decision making to resolve guest concerns

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Delivering the service standard and creating a welcoming guest experience
  • Engaging with guests to understand and solve their needs
  • Being knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to assist guests
  • Thanking guests and acknowledging their visit
  • Scanning and bagging items accurately and in compliance with safety standards
  • Minimizing guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • Sharing information about current brand launches and store activities
  • Understanding and explaining Target Loyalty benefits and fulfillment services
  • Assisting guests with Wallet, Target App features, and enrollment in services
  • Handling returns per policy and coordinating with leaders as needed
  • De-escalating situations and recovering the guest experience per policy
  • Providing easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
  • Maintaining a clean, organized work area and stocking supplies during store hours
  • Upholding safety, ethical conduct, and compliance
  • Supporting cash office processes as needed
  • Other duties as required by business needs

  • Accurate cash handling and support for cash office operations as needed
  • Safe handling and stocking of merchandise, including lifting up to 44 pounds with/without assistance
  • Shift flexibility to meet store needs
  • Active engagement by picking up shifts; you must work at least one shift within 5 months or your employment may be terminated
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments
  • Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift
