Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: April 6, 2026
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Unit: Psychiatric Unit (Adult & Adolescent)

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment . The RN will provide compassionate, patient-centered care in an acute inpatient psychiatric setting, working with both adult and adolescent patients experiencing a variety of behavioral health conditions.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and de-escalation skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.

• Provide direct nursing care to psychiatric patients (adolescents and adults).

• Monitor and assess patients with conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis, and substance abuse.

• Implement and monitor treatment plans under physician direction.

• Assist with behavioral crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.

• Conduct 15-minute safety checks and patient monitoring.

• Administer medications and document care using EPIC EMR.

• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, therapists, and mental health technicians to support patient recovery.

• Follow hospital protocols for safety, restraint use, and behavioral health care standards.

Requirements

• Active RN License (required at submission).

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, preferably in acute or inpatient psychiatric care.

• BLS Certification required.

• CPI Certification preferred.
