Overview:
Join our dedicated neonatal care team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neonatology xius Health Bismarck. This critical role offers you the opportunity to provide expert care for vulnerable newborns in a Level 3 NICU setting, with ongoing night shift coverage starting December 8, 2025. Your expertise will directly impact the health and well-being of high-risk infants through advanced neonatal procedures and transport coordination, all within a collaborative inpatient environment.

Required Skills:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license with Neonatology certification or relevant experience
• Proficiency in advanced neonatal procedures including intubation, central line placement, and peripheral arterial lines
• Experience with high-risk deliveries and neonatal transport (ground and air)
• Strong knowledge of EPIC electronic medical records system
• Ability to perform and support complex neonatal interventions in an inpatient setting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Previous experience in a Level 3 NICU environment
• Certified in neonatal advanced life support (NALS) or neonatal resuscitation program (NRP)
• Experience with air and ground neonatal transports (fixed wing)

• Master’s degree in Nursing or higher
• Minimum of 2 years of neonatal intensive care experience in a rehabilitation or hospital setting

• Ability and willingness to participate in both ground and air neonatal transports
• Comfortable working primarily during night shifts (3 PM – 7 AM)
• Willingness to travel and stay in hotel accommodations as needed
