Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ambulatory surgery clinic position requiring ND or compact licensure and strong patient assessment skills.
Responsibilities- Work in an ambulatory (outpatient) surgery clinic within an acute care setting
- Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Trauma Level 2 environment
- Must be willing to float to endocrinology, infectious disease, and wound care units
- Utilizes the Epic EMR system
- Provides rooming for patients and assists with procedures as needed
- Ambulatory team consists of 2.5 physicians and 2 nurse practitioners
- Primary responsibilities include patient assessment, care coordination, triage, patient education, and administering medications including vaccinations
- Responds to patient messages and phone calls, completes prior authorizations, and refills medications
- Orientation provided alongside experienced clinic nurses
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Returning employees must have ended previous employment with Sanford Health at least six months before starting this assignment
- Active ND or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- Minimum two years of RN experience
- Experience in patient assessment and clear communication required
- Must not have a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility
