Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• Every other weekend requirement

• Holiday coverage as needed

• First to float to medical and telemetry units

• 7-7 rotation will not occur more than weekly

• Block scheduling may be considered if unit needs are met

• Nurse to patient ratios:
Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6

• Care for patients with total joint replacement, spinal surgery, urology procedures, abdominal surgery, bariatrics, and medical overflow

• Manage hemovacs, JP drains, colostomies frequently

• Work with occasional heparin drips, PCA pumps, TPN

• Surgical experience and post-op care preferred

• Early ambulation experience preferred

• Work with charge nurse on both shifts

• Bedside shift report required

• Any color scrubs permitted

• Required certification: BLS

• EPIC charting system

• BSN not required

• Close-knit unit with good culture

• RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract)

This acute care facility features a 30-bed medical surgical unit providing comprehensive post-operative and medical care services. The facility operates as a Level 2 trauma center and maintains modern equipment including remote telemetry monitoring systems.
