Overview

Heartview Foundation, founded in 1963, is a substance abuse treatment center that expanded significantly in the late 20th century. After a relocation in the mid-1990s, it reopened residential treatment in 2007 and has since continued to grow, adding new residential units and programs in various North Dakota locations through 2023.

The next Chief Executive Officer will manage Heartview's growth with a focus on workforce resilience—recruitment, retention, and team development. The CEO will foster transparent communication and boost operational efficiency through technology investments. The role aims to enhance the administrative foundation and align culture with Heartview’s mission.

• Lead Heartview's growth strategy and mission alignment; advocate for clients and stay current on industry trends and funding.
• Drive the development of essential strategic partnerships to expand Heartview’s reach and impact.
• Build and maintain a high-performing organizational culture through effective leadership, communication, and team development.
• Improve operational efficiency by leveraging technology investments and strengthening administrative foundations.
• Represent the organization externally with stakeholders, partners, and funders.

• Proven visionary leader with significant experience in growing organizations.
• Strategic, action-oriented leadership skills with expertise in team building, external relations, and advocacy.
• Passion for Heartview’s mission and the ability to translate vision into practical action.

The compensation range for this position is $175,000–$225,000 annually.

A generous benefits package is offered, including Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Dependent Care, Employee Assistance Program. A 401(k) with employer match and a 457(b) plan are available to executives, allowing pre-tax and Roth contributions up to IRS limits.
