ROLE OVERVIEW:
This is a seasonal position, you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year round

As a Quality Control Tech - Seasonal Intern, you are responsible to safely collect samples of crushed stone, aggregate, sand or gravel.
Typical hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM with Saturday, as needed - 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Hours may vary depending on weather and customer demand.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)
- Safely and properly perform laboratory tests on variety of materials (Aggregate and/or Concrete)
- Collect materials samples, identify material, and compile statistical data on test results.
- Perform necessary tests (i.e. gradations, shales, %crushed, air, slump, unit weight, etc.)
- Examine and evaluate data - determine material quality in relation to specifications.
- Present alternative actions in relation to the evaluation.
- Perform arithmetic operations and report findings and needed actions.
- Maintain lab and equipment.
- Conduct finished and in-process inspections.
- Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations & act courteous/respectful of others.
- Ensure work activities comply with OSHA, EPA, Safety and Environmental regulations.
- Travel is required.
- Perform other duties assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)
- General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record.
- Experience as an Aggregate Tester or Concrete Tester desired.
