Job Description: The Clinic Care Technician is primarily responsible for providing clinical assistance for patient care. Duties include greeting and rooming patients, interviewing patients to obtain a limited medical history and vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature), and documenting in the patient chart or electronic medical record. This position also stocks and cleans exam rooms per clinic and infection control policy, orders and maintains clinic lab supplies, and performs other duties as assigned.

The role may also support clerical duties and may float to other areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supports and assists providers and clinical staff with administrative and select patient care tasks.
• Supports patient scheduling and work queue needs as assigned.
• Follows up on no-shows and works with providers to review and approve add-ons.
• Greets patients, supports virtual visits, completes identification verification, measures height, weight, and vision and hearing screening, and informs patients of wait time.
• Chaperones exams as needed.
• Administers questionnaires and documents in electronic medical record, enters or edits outside results and prepares patient forms for providers signatures.
• May perform specific patient care tasks based on training.
• Processes incoming mail, scans, copies, and faxes as needed, prints and updates forms, answers internal phone calls, and may place office supply orders.
• Cleans, prepares, organizes and restocks clinical areas and maintains supplies.
• Cleans procedure and exam rooms between patients and at end of day.
• Stocks exam rooms, performs regular reviews of expiration dates, and maintains linen levels.
• Cleans and ensures proper maintenance for equipment as assigned.
• Performs daily crash cart checks, monitors, and empties sharps containers.
• Performs routine safety checks on fire extinguishers, safety lights, eye wash stations and oxygen tanks.

• CNA Experience Preferred
• Customer service skills
• Ability to follow direction and perform tasks within scope of role
• Experience in healthcare or patient care
• Experience using electronic medical record
• Medical terminology

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
