- Salary Range: $20.50 - $33.00
Facilitates the nutrition care process, provides medical nutrition therapy, and supports dietitian-led interventions. Performs nutrition screening, data gathering, and analysis, and assists in coordinating nutrition care during hospital stays and upon discharge. Supports patients in making appropriate dietary choices, considering cultural, ethnic, and religious factors. Acts as a liaison to clinical dietitians, communicates patient needs, and collaborates with food services to ensure diet compliance.
Enters data into electronic records and analyzes food intake. Reinforces nutrition education and promotes community nutrition programs. Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or food and nutrition from an ACEND-accredited program. Candidates enrolled in a Master’s program to become a Registered Dietitian are preferred.
- Experience in clinical nutrition or hospital food service is desirable.
- Knowledge of nutrition, menu writing, recipe analysis, and computerized systems.
- Proficient computer skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
- State licensure is not applicable.
