Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role located in Bismarck, ND, for a Commercial/Business Loan Administrator.
The Commercial/Business Loan Administrator will work closely with Commercial Lenders. This position will manage and oversee the loan servicing process, ensuring the correct preparation and maintenance of loan documents. The role involves collaborating with team members to support lending activities, assisting with loan compliance, and delivering exceptional customer service to clients. Regular interactions with customers and internal departments will be integral to successfully fulfilling the responsibilities of this position.
PrimaryJob Duties
- Input, update, and retrieve data within loan system applications
- Prepare and review commercial loan documentation
- Attach and verify pledged collateral; review title work and related documentation
- Record legal documents and follow up on required documentation
Collect and review customer financial information and monitor tickler items - Assist with construction draw requests, including reviewing inspections, invoices, and lien waivers
- Communicate with customers, contractors, title companies, and other banks
- Prepare letters of credit and amendments, calculate fees, and assist with monthly fee summaries
- Review and process real estate title work
- Maintain accurate and organized loan files
- Support pre-closing and post-closing activities
- 1–3 years of experience in business banking, commercial lending, loan administration, portfolio administration, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Loan Servicing and handling comprehensive Loan Documentation.
- Strong understanding of Finance and related principles.
- Excellent Customer Service skills with a focus on communication and relationship-building.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Loans process, including compliance and monitoring.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with banking software and tools is an advantage.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
