The Tax Associate will be responsible for preparing individual, business, and other types of tax returns for clients in various types of entities and industries. This includes working with the tax team to ensure the various components of the tax process are performed, gathering relevant tax-related information from clients, and looking at tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.

Key responsibilities include:

• Prepares individual, business, and other types of tax returns for clients in various types of entities and industries.
• Works with the tax team to ensure the various components of the tax process are performed, including tax planning, client interaction, and performing special tax projects.
• Gathers relevant tax-related information from clients so an accurate tax return can be prepared.
• Examines tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.
• Prepares accounting-related reports through a paperless office environment.
• Attends training seminars, professional development, and networking events.

Location: Bismarck, ND
Work Arrangement: In-office

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Active CPA license or working towards obtaining CPA license preferred;
  Enrolled Agent (EA) certification also accepted.
• 1-3 years of tax experience within public accounting.
• Knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
• A self-starter who enjoys working independently and in a team environment.
• Able to focus on complex tasks and quickly understand the firm’s comprehensive compliance processes.
