This position will be required to be in-person (Bismarck Central Office) a minimum of 3 days a week.
NDDOT Hiring Salary: $7,060 / month
At the North Dakota Department of Transportation, we owe our success to our people and processes. As a Transportation Senior Manager in our Environmental & Transportation Services Division, you will assist in the procurement of preliminary and construction engineering services.
Responsibilities and qualifications for this role are described below.
Responsibilities- Administer and process consultant design and construction contracts.
- Monitor and report on project and program budgets.
- Maintain consultant contracts in Contract Management and Docu Sign.
- Review and process work authorizations and contract supplements.
- Assist with consultant selection process, including:
- writing requests for proposal
- managing the consultant pre-qualification
- reviewing proposals
- conducting consultant interviews
- preparing estimates,
- final contract negotiation.
- Maintain consultant administration records
- Consultant and staff training.
- Two-year associate degree in the preferred fields of engineering, construction, management, or similar and four years of contracting experience and/or four years of experience interpreting engineering plans, specifications, project administration, estimating, negotiating, or related experience, OR
- Four-year bachelor s degree in the preferred fields of engineering, construction, management, or similar and three years of contracting experience and/or four years of experience interpreting engineering plans, specifications, project administration, estimating, negotiating, or related experience
Employment of the selected candidate will be contingent on satisfactorily completing the interview process and the required drug test, job function screening, reference check and driving records check.
