CTE Supervisor

Overview

In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and technical support for secondary and postsecondary instructors within the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Family & Consumer Sciences Education program area. Key responsibilities include evaluating and approving programs, managing teacher credentialing and collaborating with business, industry and education partners to align standards and advance high-quality CTE initiatives. Additionally, you will assist in planning and delivering professional development workshops, conferences and state-wide events for the department and the FCCLA student organization.

This position requires strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment. Regular in-state and out-of-state travel is required.

• Evaluate and approve programs within the CTE Family & Consumer Sciences Education program area.
• Manage teacher credentialing and collaborate with business, industry and education partners to align standards and advance high-quality CTE initiatives.
• Plan and deliver professional development workshops, conferences and state-wide events for the department and the FCCLA student organization.

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education and five years of administrative, program development or teaching experience.
• Possession of or able to obtain a valid North Dakota professional teaching license.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The Department of Career and Technical Education does not provide sponsor ships.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel in and out of the state.
• Applicant must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds unassisted.
