This leading training provider is continuing to strengthen its learner support provision at its Scotland branch and is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Team Leader.

In this role you will lead a team of Teaching Assistants, ensuring learners aged 16+ receive high‑quality, tailored support throughout their training. You will work closely with lecturers, apprenticeship coaches, and learning support specialists to help apprentices overcome barriers, develop essential skills, and achieve successful outcomes. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced learning support professional to step into a leadership position and shape the learner experience within a nationally recognised training environment.

The Role
  • Line‑managing and deploying a team of three Teaching Assistants
  • Supporting learners individually and in groups to reinforce lesson content
  • Assisting with lesson planning and development of tailored learning materials
  • Monitoring learner progress and providing high‑quality feedback
  • Using assessment data and recognised IT systems to personalise support
  • Supporting English, maths, digital and personal skill development
  • Working collaboratively with Apprenticeship Coaches and lecturers
  • Maintaining safeguarding, health & safety and inclusive learning standards
The Person
  • Experience supporting learners aged 16+ (additional needs experience desirable)
  • Educated to Level 3 or above, Level 2 (or higher) in English and Maths
  • Previous line management experience
  • Confident using IT systems including Office 365
  • Organised, professional and learner‑focused
  • Willing to achieve a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification within 9 months
  • Motivated to support learners in overcoming barriers and achieving success
